WHAT IS A DISTRICT
CLERK, ANYWAY?

The District Clerk plays a vital role in McLennan County’s criminal justice system, ensuring that our courts operate efficiently, securely, and fairly. This position is responsible for:

  • Maintaining all official court records

  • Processing civil and criminal case filings

  • Managing jury selection and service

  • Collecting and handling court fees and fines

  • Supporting judges, attorneys, and citizens throughout the legal process

Simply put: the District Clerk keeps the wheels of justice turning.

This role is far more than just paperwork—it’s foundational to public safety, accountability, and access to justice. When our court system runs smoothly, our community is safer and stronger.

As a veteran of both the United States Air Force and local law enforcement, I know how important it is to have a pro-law-and-order leader in this position. With your support, I’ll bring experience, transparency, and conservative values to the McLennan County District Clerk’s Office—because justice matters.
